Muchowall

The MuchoWall is an 80″ giant multitouch display.

MultiTouch experience is meaningful when it is Multi User. Understanding huge amounts of informations requires collaboration . Data visualisation needs large displays. This MultiTouch wall is our first step towards public interactive display. This device can sense touches, brushes, rolls thus making it perfectly suitable for augmented paint applications such as LopArt ( Loplop team ). Next release will support proximity interaction by touch & distant interaction through body gesture.

ToucH2o

The HOO is an original immersive creation.

A curtain of water flows over a multi-touch console. The main idea underlying our approach was to bring a sensuous experience to so-called “tactile” devices. We designed an interactive experience where multimedia contents are dynamically immerged within the surface. Enhanced by the water, the multi-touch interaction offers an entirely unique sensation, a fluid interaction…

What’s the relationship between water and screen ?

Water is the inter face between the depth of the earth and the sur face, between the sacred and the profane. As well as the screen is the inter face between the visible and the invisible, the real world and the virtual one.

SassExperience and Aquamedia join efforts to shape this innovative vision of interactive display. We designed the ToucH2O, an interactive experience where multimedia content are literally immerged within the sur face. A curtain of water flows over a multitouch console, merging together digital media, high technologies and nature.

The Touchoo brings a sensuous feeling to the so-called “touch sensitive” devices.

Touchest

The Touchest is a tangible multi-touch interface within a vintage wood and leather hand-crafted trunk, ornamented with bronze strap hinges and studs. The chunk is filled with interactive objects that reveals the occult contents which can be therefore explored by touch & magical gestures.

The story…

Chests were some of the most useful items of medieval furniture. As the great nobles in the
Middle Ages travelled from manor to manor, chests served simultaneously to hold goods,
ordinary objects, documents of value and personal items. Later, it becomes the magician’ safe to store his spell books, sacred relics, parchments to decipher and magic wands.
From journey to journey, history converts them into fabulous treasure chests brimming over
with gold, jewelry, secret keys that pirates will lost and seek on never ending treasure hunts.
In the 21st century the Touchest harbors the secrets and treasures of the past and mirrors mankind’s extraordinary explorations.

Museum V2

This giant tabletop was designed for La Coupole Museum, located at Saint Omer, France.
We embedded three large Multitouch Displays ( 2×65″+1×75″) into a 4 meter long table ,
a maximum height of 80cm, due to accessibility criteria for a large public

The use case…

This installation allows visitors to discover the pictures taken by spy and reconaissance aircraft by the allies during the Second World War. The original photographs cannot be exhibited, the valorisation of the digitised heritage in multitouch form is thus pertinent. By zooming and panning the photos and medias, the user explores in detail part of the secret intelligency documents which led to victory.

The installation was launched in April 2010 and has run daily since .

It is the only museum installation in France in these dimensions.

Tangible Lille

The Tangible Lille device is an Interactive Tabletop for exploring  the Mineralogy.
Set up @ the Natural History Museum in Lille (France),the installation is composed of two displays, an horizontal one that reacts to the 2d  object , a vertical HD monitor that displays the full information .

The research

The goal of this project was to explore a tangible way to introduce to a public audience the mineralogy complexity.
By grasping object & putting them together over the screen, the user explores the museum database of collected stones.
Each object represent an atom; by combining the atoms you get an overview of the stones composed from that combination . A quick way for visitors to understand the basics of mineralogy. An efficient way for the museum to show his collections. A professional mode also allow the professionals to have deeper informations about the collected items .
